merry christmas from us here at set apart studio to all of Y O U. these humans right here are the reason behind it all + the continued support from all of you is the reason we can keep the dream going.

this christmas, our shop has paused to fully enjoy the holiday season, each other, the tiniest human’s first christmas, the magic in the eyes of our littles + the love of our families.

our family grew by one little pair of matching christmas jammies this year + although she’s too young to take part in annual gingerbread man baking, she is PERFECT, these boys are perfect + although life can be far from perfect, it is beyond anything we could have asked for. merry christmas! 🖤🤙🏼🌲

logging off until after christmas- we hope you enjoy the holiday, staying safe + healthy + happy with the ones you love!

it’s the most wonderful time of the (craziest, most insane, yet beautiful) year. 🖤🌲

i would argue that 2020 was amazing for us, between birthing my daughter (naturally- what the?!), marrying my best friend, expanding SAS + spending more time with our boys. but in between all of those amazing things, 2020 was H A R D + challenging in lots of big + little ways.

one recent surface example (+ hi i’m a human moment): i had to remake A L L of the holiday sign orders with painted backgrounds. yep. there’s a national shortage on the paint i use for signs + although i thought i would be all set with the paint i used in the studio in college. . . i was N O T 👏🏻 all 👏🏻 set 👏🏻.

now that we’ve had all the coffee, late night laughs + all the signs are remade (except one for a very special gal you’ll virtually meet soon!), we can laugh about it + get back to reflecting. the sign pictured here is one from SAS’s very first holiday season, made with introductory methods— i’m talking microsoft word + chalk paper... + a whole lotta heart.

i hope you enjoy this week with your loved ones! (+ that they don’t attempt neil diamond’s christmas album like my hubs...) 🖤🌲

just a quick lil thank you to all of the essential carriers that have made running a small business a W H O L E lot easier in the insanity that has been 2020.

i had an awesome conversation with one of our regular carrier guys the other day + thanked him for consistent timely pickups, for always personally handing me our packages + for being happy + genuinely loving his job- it really shows.

these individuals go HOME to HOME, in a global pandemic. they show up when people often aren’t expecting it, deliver to strangers + often get the blame when packages aren’t on time. they work early + late, around the clock + 10x harder during the holidays. it’s easier (speaking for myself!) to thank the essential employees that come to mind, especially as i work in healthcare + with first responders, but today i’m extra grateful for the essential employees behind the scenes.

so this holiday season as online shopping is at an all time high, let’s make an effort to thank all of our USPS, FedEx, UPS, Amazon (+ all of the equally important other!) delivery humans as they’re certainly essential + a vital part of our team, personally + professionally 🖤✉️📦
